In the Old Testament God authorized the shedding of animal blood for the forgiveness of sins for the Jewish Race. But,the Old Testament was not perfect. In fact,Hebrews 10:4, says that,"it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins. Therefore, God the Father, sent His only begotten Son, Jesus, into the world. When Jesus was crucified, He shed His precious blood for the whole world. Because of  what Jesus has done for us, the whole world has the opportunity to recieve Gods salvation.                                                                                                                              John 1:10-14,"Jesus was in the world and,the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not. He came unto His own and His own received Him not. But as many as would receive Him, to them gave He the power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe on His name: who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. It is also important to see how the bible refers to Jesus as the Word of God.Phillipians 2:16,refers to Jesus as the Word of Life. 1John 1:1 also refers to Jesus as the Word of Life. John 6:63 says,"It is the Spirit that gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. In James 1:22, it tells us to become doers of the word, and not hearers only. You see as we become doers of the word, the word becomes the Living Word. James 1:25 says, that he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but is a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. And this Is truely what Jesus wants of us.

"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him who He sent." John 6:29. This scripture is the reason God sent His Son Jesus to earth. So that we could have the opportunity to believe on "Him (Jesus) whom He (The Father) sent. I could even say that this is the reason we were born.. Just to have this opportunity. Please read John 3:16,17 and 18. Now read 2Corinthians 5:21 "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." You see God The Father made Jesus, who knew no sin, to become sin for us, so that we could become the righteousness of God in Him (Jesus). In John 8:42, Jesus said "If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. Now lets read  John 5:24 "Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes in Him who sent Me has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgement, but has passed  from death into life. Now lets read John 17:3 "and this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent."This is  the reason that God The Father sent His Son Jesus into the world. And once Jesus delivered this message He left the world. But before He left this world, He was crucified on the cross, shed His Precious Blood, died, and rose from the dead. Jesus is the Son of God, the Prince of Peace, the King of kings and the Lord of lords. He is the wonderful counsilor. The light of the world and the great I Am. He is the Alpha and the Omega, the Begining and the Ending. Which is,and which was,and which is to come. The Almighty. He is the Spirit of Truth, the Word of God, the Word of life.crucified and risen. He is the precious Son of God,who proceeds out from the Father, and He shed his precious Blood for us.He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,and by His stripes we are healed.

Acts 2:1-4, "Now when the day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with The Holy Spirit and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.                                                                   Sometime in the early 1980s, I began to realize that the Baptism of The Holy Spirit was actually like the experience described in Acts chapter 2. So I sincerely asked God to be baptized in  the Holy Spirit, and decided to recieve it by faith. My experience began to develope in the days, weeks, and months after I asked to recieve the baptism. I began to have a great desire to read the bible, especially everything that Jesus said. I started to read the Gospels, Matthew Mark, Luke and John, and after I finished I would read them over and over again. Then I did the same thing with all of the Epistles. The gift that The Holy Spirit gave to me is what I would have to describe as "inward illumination". It was an inner light of knowing. God was shinning His light within me. John 1:4," In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." In the 35 + years since, I have never stopped reading the bible. There is always a river of scripture flowing within me. This is why I finally let the river flow on to the pages of this bible study booklett. John 7:38." He who believes in Me, as the scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water"
